Fundraising for Women with Chronic Illness

Donate to our "Hope Springs Eternal" Fund

Until stakeholders in government, the medical community, and insurance companies respond effectively to the health crisis they have contributed to, Emily's Place is seeking your help to end this humanitarian crisis one afflicted woman at a time. Women suffering from chronic illness, particularly those impacted by neurolyme, who can’t afford treatment or access essential care, are the ones who need your support. Right now, we are running a COVID-friendly $5 crowdfunding campaign to raise $50,000 for the treatment costs of Robin Adams-Hays, our first guest.

These small donations are crucial for us as a new organization that is currently filing for 501(c)(3) status, which will allow for tax-deductible contributions for larger donations to support women’s wellness initiatives.

Donate To Our Chronically Thriving "Triumph" Fund

The cost to participate in this program is $100 per person. The Triumph Narrative Therapy program helps women facing chronic illnesses process their trauma and losses into their own path of triumph forward. We do not currently have a Chronically Thriving Edition for Children and Spouses. Donations to this fund will also aid in the development of these materials.

Donate to our "Team Dreamer" Fund

Help us gather Dream Teams across the United States focused on health crisis support for single mothers and their children, helping them move from survival mode to thriving lives. Currently, we have a COVID-friendly $5 crowdfunding campaign aimed at supporting Courtney Atack, a single mother of five battling brain cancer, while her father has faced three heart attacks.

Donate to our "Awareness, Education, and Family Triumph" Fund

We aim to create a survival guide for families dealing with chronic illness, which can be distributed to physicians and therapists specializing in Lyme Disease and Brain Cancer. This guide will equip families with the help, support, and education they need before facing dire circumstances that often lead to divorces.

Share This Website With Those Who Are Afflicted

Spread this information with friends and family members impacted by neurolyme or brain cancer so that they and their loved ones can regain hope. I have always been optimistic, seeking new solutions, but maintaining that hope has been a challenge. During this COVID pandemic, additional responsibilities related to our kids' education have made life even more difficult. It can be challenging to hold a conversation without feeling overwhelmed, especially when strong emotions come into play, leading to memory difficulties, fatigue, and more. Most families don’t realize that life can be different, especially when chronic illness takes its toll.

I didn’t realize it until Emily came and helped me.

CONTACT US SO WE CAN RECRUIT SPECIALISTS

Reach out to Emily's Place if you know someone experiencing struggles similar to those faced by Courtney, Inger, and Robin. We are dedicated to establishing a new Emily's Place in your area for single women without children, bringing together a COVID-safe team of specialists who can evaluate and improve their physical home environment, simplifying it to reduce the overwhelming burden on afflicted mothers and fathers. This team will include a professional organizer specializing in helping those who are chronically disorganized, a contractor, handyman, space designer, health and life coach, and a marriage/family therapist focused on families affected by brain-involved chronic illnesses.

HELP US ESTABLISH PLANS FOR A 2-3 MONTH REPRIEVE

We will collaborate with this team to bring in a COVID-safe daily assistant to handle tasks that often lead to physical distress for your loved one, resulting in irritability, extreme fatigue, and cognitive issues. During this reprieve, as these mothers gradually reemerge, they can utilize the Award-Winning Triumph Program: Chronically Thriving Edition, giving them the chance to reclaim their identity and reshape their paths towards thriving despite adversity.

HELP CHILDREN OF AFFLICTED SINGLE MOTHERS

BETTER COPE AND FIND THEIR PATH TO THRIVE

The children of single mothers facing neurolyme and brain cancer endure trauma too. They need spaces to regroup and heal, helping them find their own path to triumph. The New Vision Triumph Program addresses their unique needs, allowing them to process fears, trauma, and daily burdens. Imagine the stress and hopelessness these children feel when navigating life without consistent support. This program not only provides emotional healing but also teaches essential household management and team-building skills. It is vital for them to receive professional guidance as their mothers often lack the energy to lead. Instead of illness driving families apart, together we can foster environments that bring them closer and prepare children for successful futures.
